Although we planned not to play live up until the Romeo Camp to focus on writing some new stüff, we cannot sit on our asses that long without a concert, so we decided to accept the invitation of the Art Rock Café in Siófok.
We're playin' around midnight on 2 August, after the festivities organized by the Hungarian MTV are finished down on the beach. (But we'll be there at the beach by the way!)

Oh, and yeah, there are some really great ideas slowly but steadily transforming themselves into songs, so by the autumn shows we plan to have 3 or 4 definitely ready to be introduced to the eagerly waiting public.

Keep on enjoying your summer,

Nazty Tricks

Sooo, grab your engagement books, calendars and/or cell phones - Concerts section updated.

We're doin these shows with the new line-up. Ramon has already played a few shows with us as a fill-in, from now on he's hitting those drums as a full member of Nazty Tricks. We would like to thank Merman for the 4 years he has spent with us, we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

The bassist position isn't filled yet, we're playing the June shows with Zolika helping us out, and the band is looking for a permanent member, so if you happen to meet Kelly Nickels' long-lost son tell him to give us a call!

And now a few words about each show:

Metalcamping (Tatabánya): Contrary to what you might read elsewhere (and what the flyer might suggest), we're not playin on Saturday, but on Friday, we had to switch slots with Brockolee. (For more info check out: www.metalcamping.com)

Glam Night Five (Nyíregyháza): The reason behind the aforementioned change.
This time it will take place in Nyíregyháza, at a club that is definitely more worthy for THE NIGHT and promises to provide the appropriate background to celebrate the jubilee. (www.rock66.hu, www.glamnight.hu)

Alhana Camp (Mátrafüred): We're gonna take the stage around 5 p.m. (tabor.alhana.hu)
If there is anyone coming from abroad who want to get a ticket with our logo on it, drop us an e-mail. You get the ticket for the same price as would ordering online, but these ones look much better. You can also get a Nazty Tricks T-shirt for half price (ie. 1,000 HUF) with the 3-day ticket.
In other words:
3-day ticket for the Alhana Rock Camp: 7,000 HUF
3-day ticket for the Alhana Rock Camp + a cool Nazty Tricks T-shirt: 8,000 HUF

That's it for now, details about the other shows coming soon.

Keep on checking the above links, as well as our website and the MySpace profile.

See ya,

the Tricks

First of all a big thank you to everyone who celebrated our 100th show with us at the W2 Rock Club.

Since then we have already played our 101st show (ok, we will stop counting for a while now!). That gig in Maglód was also great, with surprisingly lot of people coming from Budapest as well as the surrounding towns, and with a surprisingly great club with a cool backstage, air-conditioning in and around the stage as well as lovely barmaids always willing to give us one more beer...

Rocken Dogs have already invited us to play with them at their haunt in Vác at the end of March, and there might be an RD birthday bash at Avalon club sometime in May.
Check out the Concerts section because there are some changes, and new shows are also coming in...

Love,
Nazty Tricks

Ok, so quite a few things happened since the last update.

We played two shows in Italy around Padua, on the first weekend of October. The shows were great, the food was great, the drinks were great, so we had a great time (although the weather wasn't that great: Heavy rain in Italy? WTF?).

Then CRACKHOUSE came to play in Hungary in the beginning of November, opening for us at W2 Club on Thursday and for CANDYSHOP at Filter Club on Saturday. Don't ask me what happened on Friday...

Next weekend we played a show at Lucky 13 in Budapest with JOLLY ROGER, partied until the morning, then after a few hours of sleep left for Szeged to participate in the 4 th installment of the (in)famous GLAM NIGHT festival. And participate we did! :)

We uploaded a bucketful of pix. If you take a closer look, you can see a new face on the stage - non other than our new bass player. His name is Eddie Damned, he's arrogantly young (and arrogant, too ;))), drank his fair share during the November shows, and thus successfully completed his trial period, so he's in.

And last but not least we have some amazing T-shirts with some half-naked ladies on them, so there's "one more reason to die" ... oh, no, one more reason to check us out if we come to your town in the near future. We have two types (simple T and ladies' top), and offer them in different sizes. You get a lighter with our logo for free for every item! What a deal, huh?!

Oh yea, and Gábor Talmácsi is WORLD CHAMPION in MotoGP 125-cm3 category. Congrats!

See you down the road!

News, Concerts, Line-up changes, all that shit 2007-09-13

Hey there,

It's been a while since we last updated this part of the website ... But now it's time!

Let's get done with the bad news first. L.A.cika left the band in July, because he could no longer finance all the things that come with a band (rehearals, T-shirts, backdrop, etc, etc. and he also had to travel a lot, 'cause he doesn't live in town). We understood that and parted ways amicably. Until we find a permanent bass player, Steew from CandyShop is helping us out in his pimpy outfits and with his Tom Hamilton-ish playing. Thanx bro!

And now the good news: We're playing 2 shows in Northern Italy on 5 and 6 October. We've been invited by them sleaze rockerz CRACKHOUSE from Padua. Check out their site in the Links section and the Concerts section for details about the gigz.

We're warming up for those shows at our usual place in Budapest: RádayKupola, on the 30th of September. It's Sunday, and we're gonna start earlier, so that you don't look like shit at shool or work the next morning.

Yeah, and check out the Pictures section too, it's also been updated with lots of pix from shows of the past few months.

Enjoy & take care & keep rockin' & check back often

News 2007-04-23

Röck!

This past Saturday we played a show as special guests to our friends and long-running drinking buddies, Demonlord. It was quite a last minute call, but we were happy to accept their invitation for the final show of their 10th anniversary tour. Pix coming soon.

You can check out the pix of the gig on the 21st at "Kutató Intézet". Some shots are also featuring - besides the band members - Sidd from CandyShop and the mouth of Titusz from Dust n' Bones doing background vox.

Our next concert is on 6 June, special guesting for the Junkies on the first show of their "beer garden festivities", a popular summer event series from the favourite punk & rollers of Hungary.

Our England tour with Lethal Fixx is postponed from May to the beginning of September. The reason for this is that those fuckers are having their album release tour in September, and we both thought it would be better for us to play with them then, for more people, with hopefully more press coverage and free drinks. Exact dates and venues coming soon - ok, we already have one fixxed, but we won't tell you yet.

Review 2007-04-06

The Italian hard rock site, Audiodrome (http://www.audiodrome.it) posted a review of our EP, check it out. To make it more comfortable for you, we had it translated into English (thanx Luca).

The review

First EP of the Hungarian band Crash Diet, who recently became Natzty Tricks since they formerly had the same name with the notorious Swedish glamsters, whose singer Dave Lepard passed away in January 2006, but the band is comin' back to the scenes with a new album with a new frontman.

Uncensored is a six-track album, three of the songs are in English and three in their mother tongue: surprisingly Hungarian sounds rather good or at least it sounds good to me, at first contact with it. Three up-tempos "Félénk Kedvesem", which reminds me in some way of our funny Italian rockers Sex & Six, "Teged Nezve" and "Angela", are anyway at same good level of "Poor Boy'z Rock" and "Saturday Night Dead", more rocking, particularly referring to the lyrics. The EP's masterpiece is the straight and obsessing rock'n'roll song "Not So Funky", which underlines Needle's voice and Wank's guitar.

Only thing we could suggest to the band would be to choose the language, in which their lyrics should be written: as foregone conclusion we could say that English would be more suitable to let 'em highly appreciated abroad as well.

Lots of pictures from the Sleaze Tour have been uploaded, check 'em out!

Sleaze Mini Tour 2007-03-24

Röck,

SLEAZE MINI TOUR is completed, and it exceeded all our expectations. On the one hand we were happy to see how many of your turned up on - at least one - show, on the other hand our English bros were very cool guys, and last but not least they sold a shitload of CDs and T-shirts, so you must have liked them - they liked you and their whole stay here, that's for sure.

Soon we will finalize our little English trip with them, and you will know the details as soon as we know them.

Until then please wait patiently for the pics that were made on the shows of the tour (as well as before and after the shows).

But the good news for now is that we have our next show fixed: on 14 April we're playin' the increasingly popular and allegedly increasingly well-equipped KUTATÓINTÉZET in Budapest with our tested partners in crime: CANDYSHOP.

Needle might even write another blog about this whole tour if he gets his shit together. But maybe that fucker forgot everything and he's ashamed of himself because of that and he won't write anything...

"Chaos 'til Sunday mornin' it was."

Röcky! 2007-02-10

We can't and don't want to be dilate upon this, so no gushing around:

The reason we abandoned the CRASH DIET name after almost 4 years is that we are about to attack and hopefully conquer the European market and we don't want to mistaken for the Swedish CRASHDIET, whom you probably know and love (we do!). There were a few occassions when misunderstandings happened and we got fed up with them ...

So from now on you're gonna be hearing about us as NAZTY TRICKS.

As the first phase of our European operations between 15 and 17 March we're gonna be visited by LETHAL FIXX straight from the "Sunset Strip" of the new Millenium, Camden/London. After their "Sleaze Mini Tour" here in Hungary they're about to "return the favour" with a few dates for us in England - with them of course and a few other glam/sleaze rock bands of the 'alive and kickin' London scene.

So we're like pure energy: The band isn't disappearing, only changes from one form into another (with no member changes!).

Long live the sleaze!
